25mm FAR 25.853 hook-and-loop fastener
This hook-and-loop fastener system is the aerospace counterpart of standard Velcro tape, used in cabin assemblies where a removable fixture is required and where a fire-retardant textile is...
Flat snap hooks for 25 to 50 mm webbing, ultimate loads from 450 to 5 000 daN. Aluminium or zinc-plated steel. Hinged latch on rivet for connection to anchor rings and footman loops.
Data sheet
Flat snap hooks are end fittings for restraint strap assemblies, used to connect the webbing to cabin anchor rings, footman loops and floor fittings. A hinged latch is mounted on a rivet and closes back on the hook body once the connection is made, keeping the strap secured during handling and vibration.
The range covers 25 to 50 mm webbing widths, with ultimate loads from 450 daN for light assemblies up to 5 000 daN for heavy lashing. Light aluminium versions are available at 25 mm for weight-sensitive installations, while higher loads use zinc-plated steel. Unit weights run from 24 g to 430 g depending on size and material.
Stocked as spare parts, compatible with the corresponding GPI Forankra webbing widths.
