Security seals are numbered single-use steel cables used to seal cabin survival kits, emergency equipment, escape slide compartments, cargo container and inventory items in commercial and military aircraft. Once closed, the seal cannot be re-opened without breaking the cable, which makes any tampering immediately visible to the next inspector. Each cable carries a unique number for traceability.
Three cable diameters are available to suit the strength and visibility required by the application: 1.5 mm for light items, 3.5 mm for standard cabin equipment and 5 mm for higher-strength sealing. All references are made of steel.
Supplied in batches of 250 seals.
